Random Thoughts / Past Weeks in Review (Part 1)

Wow, just a few hours more and it's Christmas! It seems that it was only just a few days ago when it was September and I was kindof grinchy and bah humbag-ey with all the "too early to celebrate christmas" thingies popping around. Time flew so fast and the last quarter of 2009 has been a bit of blur–a fun blur nevertheless. There were booboos left und right but hello, it's not nega season so lez just have fun no, hehehe. Here's what I've been up to in the past weeks.

① December 2 2009, InDesign User Group Meeting @ FB BHS

Went to Market! Market! first then proceeded to Fully Booked @ Boni High Street later that day. We were actually too early (registration was 7; we were there before 6, hehe) that the the FB people wasn't even sure if there really was an InDesign event. Fun (and free!!) seminar! No regrets missing class that day hehe. Visit the IDUG site here and/or here (Manila Chapter).

☝ Ma'am Ann won the raffle. She got a copy of the supernice InDesign CS4. Win!

② December 16 2009, FA Christmas Potluck @ Art Park

We AUP fine arts people are pretty simply really: no extravagant parties of super expensivo gift giving–just food and fun (and picturepicture) time together and we're good! Well, okay, we just realized that Christmas break was around the corner and we didn't have any events organized yet so there, impromptu party. But it was fun!

☝ We had this contest wherein we were given a piece of paper that we had to cut it and turn into a Christmas tree using our bare hands and sans looking. I won this contest! ✌ Mine's the one in the middle. Chocoyey!

③ December 18 2009, Potter's Clay Concert! + Potluck!

Weeee fun concert. Haggarda but fun. Especially the post-concert potluck!! And oh, thanks Nikki ha!!

④ December 19 2009, After Church @ BAA

Saw ma'am Nemy's baby for the first time. Cute! And photo op at the "ruins" with Bea.

Random Thoughts / One More Week...

Am I the Bryanboy of magazine blogging? Lots of magazines, so little blogging time. One more week 'til vacation sweet vacation! Grabe, just a few more weeks days and it's twenty-ten oledi.

And oh, PS: I got Preview December yesterday (weee!) but how sad—it did not come with the Nokia x Preview x Slims supplement thing. WT? I already asked about it and they mag people of FB will contact me as soon as they get details. I vreally want that supplement so goodluck nalang x10!

Events / Consumer Electronics Live! Manila 2009

Three weeks ago, I went to CEL Manila 2009 (three real life weeks = 129387 online years). It was fun and okay, but fersure it did not beat last year's CEL. IMHO, last year's CEL is much mucho fun-er and better. T3 Philippines was still alive then and CEL sans T3 is just not as fun as T3 + CEL Manila. But still, the tech geek in me was satisfied and happy. Can't wait for CEL 2010! :-)

Random Thoughts / Past Weeks in Review

Long time no nothing. Backlogged big time. Been quite busy the past days month. Well, not super duper back-breaking magtanim ay 'di biro levels busy...yet. Just no-time-to-post-anything busy.





So many things to share, stories to tell, photos to post...so little time. Or rather, chance.



I hope I could post stuff as it happens via my brain but that's the stuff of scary sci-fi movies, hehe.



Anyway.



I've been through super highs and super lows recently—so many high-low moments that I constantly check my dear sanity if it's still there, hehe.



Thank God it's still there. It just gets covered with layers upon layers of, stress, worries, anxieties...and then some.





All I need is a little superfriend-fam-pray-mag-internet-bookstore-supplies store-TV time and I'm good to go, chooks to go.







I'd rather have it this way. No high-low moments = boringo.  Wahahahaanglakasngloobhaohemgeehahaha!
































Off to bed now. I have to wake up early tomorrow (that would be in, mmm, three hours). Goodluck to me.

Magazines / Nokia? Haute Couture? Slims? Preview Supplement??

What is this? Is this a supplement to the November issue of Preview? My copy didn't come with this supplement.

I am going to the SMX for the CEL Manila event today and will drop by a bookstore to check this out. I do not know what I'll do if this is a free supplement to the November issue of Preview. I have my copy already and it didn't come with this! Oh dear.

Random Thoughts / Hello

Left early today for a writing seminar (or rather yesterday by the time this post gets published). As in 5:30 early. I'm not exactly a morning person, but congratulations cause I got to wake my sleepy ass for this event. Yay! And oh, bagong gising or not, my handwriting looks like that. Any time of the day, hehe. Too tard to post tonight. Will leave early again tomorrow for Day 2 of the seminar.

Long time no post.

And no, that's a McDonalds sign, you perv. I didn't get to eat breakfast so naturally, thoughts of food filled my semi-sleeping mind. I'm not sure why McDonalds though.
