After 100,000 long years I was finally able to clean and sort out my room. I was supposed to be out of town but well, things didn't go as planned. Anyway, I wish I had more interesting things to say but I am convinced that I tell stories better with pictures than with words. The internets partly to blame I guess, so lol. Oh well must read more for more ideazzz. Looking forward to a great week~~

Been meaning to post this for a loooong time but I was just so swamped with 10000 things to finish (the to do list never ends hay haha) so there.... mmm So far the fastest/easiest/chillest shoot I have done!! First time to fly alone! Glad I made it lol. Missed the trip's actual day one though because of the choir competition that I had to go to hehe. But I'm good! Grabe can I just say I love traveling. Ok, not the actual traveling part, but more of the going places part (i get dizzy very easily :-/).

Yes I am in a choir lol. Grabe my first time to be in a competition. Was super nerviiiiizzzzz intensity 10 shaking levels, but I had lottttsssa fun! And yay because we got in the finals!! The sacrifices were worth it. We didn't win anything during the finals but hello choosy pa?? hahaha The experience was super okay enough for me #yehes. Anyway, here's what happened during my two day glee experience haha.

The mater went to Baguio a coupla days ago and brought home strawberries. Mmmmyum. Everybody's out of town (even the parentals) and here I am chilling at home playing with my cats and eating strawberries. I opted to just spend the free days at home because hey, it's where my heart is haha. Last night, had home-cooked dinner with friends then we watched a film we made in high school. Good times. Hay I sooper don't want the free days to end. Super chill. But oh well c'est la vie haha. Happy weekend! x

I used to blog about magazines more often in the past. And then I got busy and blogged about it less and less...(never stopped buying tho lol). You see, I blog about magazines because I want to share the things that inspire me wahaha zerious but yeah that's true. Also, I am wont to change my magazine "column" title every time I post but I think I'm sticking to this new one. (actually I've started posting #magazinediary entries in my tumblr) That's how I blog about magazines anyway—like a diary. Wahaha am I making any sense lol Though now more photos and less talk because I am convinced that I tell stories better with pictures than with words. Watch this space because in the coming days (fingers crosssedddd) I will try to post some...slowly but surely.

*Um is there a way for my tumblr to make all my posts tagged with "magazine diary" appear in one page? Like in the same way "labels" work in blogger? Haha sorry I just really don't know lol. A visual journal of my 1st Manila F.A.M.E. experience. Ang galing talaga ng mga Filipino, nakakainspire. Super creative. A quick tour around the halls got all my creative juices running...ideas! hehe Didn't get to take a lot of photos though because I was too busy running around doing errands lol (also, AFAIK photography is not allowed so~). And I just remembered I have 10000000 more photos on my phone too but that's for another entry I guess hehe. Superfun experience. And inspiration overload too! Alternate title for this post: view from the registration table. BT's assistant was on a week-long leave so the task of manning the registration table was left to me lol. Basically took pictures of the same people on the same spot haha. Anyway, I think mixers are fun. We should have more of that here.

Aaaaaand congratulations to the artists! Apart from the Design+Tech sector mixer, the event was also the second leg of a three-part Ambassadors of the Philippine Brand exhibit tour. The first one was in Greenbelt 3 (almost a month ago I think but I still want to post that hehe) and the last one will be in Alabang (May 8 2011). Updates and more info here. Check out the artists' works in TriNoma at the 4th floor cinema lobby. Exhibit will be on display til April 27 2011.

I think we found another place to chill...after weeks upon weeks of planning, we finally got to do our froyo date! With the GCs I got from Red Mango (thank you!!!), me and my superfriends chilled over super yum froyo. Thanks to Curves too for sharing his GC as well haha. Super cozy place, will def go back there next time—especially in times of haggardness—to chill, unwind, LOL, and get kilig from the sweet/sourness of froyo haha. Thank you friends...and thank you Red Mango. Now I think I have enough good vibes to help me get through yet another busy week. :-))))

Went to the Rockwell Coachella Bazaar earlier to support Paradigm Shift, Os Accessories, Soule Phenomenon, and Miadore! You know what I've never been to any bazaar before...at least one like this...or maybe I've been to one I just didn't know lol. Thought it was cool but stuff on sale were mostly for girls, wish there were more for guys haha. Anyway, went around and got to check other stores too. Some of the stores we checked out were: Olivia and Fifth, Farah Abu, Yuki Makes Things, This Letter Z, and C.ASH. For those who haven't gone to the Rockwell Coachella bazaar yet, you still have tomorrow! (April 10 2011, Sunday) Don't forget to drop by the Os/Paradigm Shift/Soule Phenomenon/Miadore booth! As previously blogged, life has not been super duper chill recently. Maybe not super duper for some but you see, I tend to overstress with just about everything (life, werq, bills, and well everything in general hahaha). With so many things driving me nuts and bolts rn, I needed something to keep me motivated and movin and what better way to do that than to do magazine grocery!! hahaha Wow it's been a while (that's true) and with yesterday's loot, I think I set a new personal record. Grawbe can I just say I'm the poorest/happiest maghag now lol.

PLUS the package I have been waiting for quite a time now arrived yesterday! Finally got my copy of Contemporary Graphic Design (Taschen). I've seen a few copies locally but I figured out buying abroad would be more economical for me because it's cheaper and I don't mind waiting (read: kuripotschikova).

And with the "and then some" part...mm thanks to my superfriends basta. You guise know who you are :-)

Hello friends. I'm still here...just sooper busy recently. I miss the time when I can just go out of the house at night and stare at the moon without thinking (a lot) of what would happen the next day lol how zerious. But I'm all good! Keeping calm and carrying on...getting things done slowly but surely. So many things to blog about #backlogged #backblogged! Like these moon shots I took a coupla weeks ago when apparently the moon was at its closest to the earth. Aint it pretty? Events / The Future of Publishing / 6th Manila InDesign Users Group Meeting

I attended the 6th InDesign talk last week; I did not win anything but I got myself a nice poster lol. The meeting went well, although getting in wasn't as easy as I thought it would be haha—it was inside ABS-CBN kasi. Anyway, Neil Agonoy, Metro's AD was supposed to talk (as stated in the meeting summary) but zilch nada no Neil that night. I was looking forward to his talk but oh well, maybe next time. Jesus Vicente's talk made up for it though—I super super loved it (he talked about magazines haha). More of that please!

I'm pretty sure it's not yet too late to register for this event so if you are free this afternoon, register now here. I have been attending all the InDesign user group meetings (missed only a coupla events so far) and I sure learn a lot there. I may not have had the chance to take home a free copy of InDesign yet (they raffle off one every meeting) but for sure I take home a lot of useful design info haha.

For this special event, Mr Ernesto L Lopez, head of _ABS CBN Publishing Inc will be in charge of opening the session, followed by a brief look at the changes occurring in the publishing world by Jesús Vicente, editorial design consultant for some of the biggest publishers in SE Asia, and guest speaker Mr Neil Agonoy, Art Director for renowed fashion magazine METRO will take us through the challenges of creating compelling magazine content and would share some of his tips for producing engaging layouts. On the technical front, Mr Gilbert Victoria, Art Director from CreActive and lecturer in multimedia studies at Bulacan State University, will share tips about merging data in InDesign CS5. All of this will take place in an informal and relaxed setting.

Interesting line up! I'm a fan of Neil Agonoy's work for Metro (and Metro Home) and I'm quite excited to hear what he's gonna say later. More details about the event here. See you!

Life was way simpler back in high school, no? For me at least. Back then I spent most of my life offline and actually had fun lol. I can go on and on about how fun high school was but that's not what this post is about. Last week me and my friends finally finished our little project for our alma mater. We've been trying to finish this for quite a time now but you see when deadlines aren't that deadly...you tend to kinda beat around the proverbial bush haha. Thank you Dana, Kate, and Diane. We missed you Curves hehe. Felt like I was in high school again doing homeroom decor haha. Ilabas na ang crepe paper.

Okay another food post lol. At the risk of turning into a food blogger (I actually still have a few food related posts coming lol), I present to you another nomz entry. I have always wanted to go food tripping in chinatown but I never really got to do it til recently. Last week, AJ, Paul and I had lunch at Wai Ying fastfood in Binondo. Was super full after, that's all I can say haha! Yummy chinese food. And A++ too for not being super expensivo haha. Thank you AJ & Paul!

Random night! Didn't have any saturday night plans but tonight turned out to be quite eventful. Had korean buffet dinner @ Don-day Fresh Restaurant! ~~Hindi mashado obvious pero I have~~ Been trying to keep calories at bay. But then again it's not like buffet day every day (or not) so might as well throw calorific caution to the wind and eat in a major way. haha Super yum!! Love korean food. Good food + good company + superLOL = fun night!! Will definitely go back there—maybe not very soon though as I have to lose and burn whatever poundage I have gained from tonight's dinner first lol! Went to Moonleaf for tea after. QC night won't be complete without a quick (or not) trip to my favorite tea place! My, I never get tired of Moonleaf. Nothing like a chill trip to an art gallery to get inspiration juices flowing in my veins again. Not like i'm uninspired or anything—it's just that seeing something in real life is way way better than just seeing it online. Agree?

I missed the opening event of the We Are Not Aimless exhibit so I made it a point to see it before it closes. Was supposed to go alone but I was able to coax my two friends Moski and Kate to go with me haha yay. Fun art day! Quite in time too because we went there Feb 1 and as you might have heard already, February is Arts month here in the Philippines. Seeing all the artworks made me want to make art—as in traditional art—again. Ilabas na ang prang at color pencils at ang kraft paper lol.

We Are Not Aimless is a showcase of 27 artists wherein the common thread is illustration. These illustrators are originators of their own ideas, where personal vision and absence of outside direction are key.

The idea is to transform 2/F Gallery of the Manila Contempary to resemble someone’s room. Walls are painted and curious pieces/ art objects are assembled and installed to resemble what happens in "somebody's head".

A video of WeeWillDoodle's live performance is scheduled on the opening night on Jan 22, 2010 6pm.

The exhibition ends on Feb 6 2010.
Cocktails will be served.

Face Hunter is one of the first few blogs that I followed way back then...fast forward to today, who knew I'd be meeting the man behind everybody's favorite blog—Yvan Rodic. During the event, he was really accommodating and nice and chatty, asking everybody a question or two and then proceeded on to writing on everybody's books the word "bongga". Bongga!

Thank you Status mag and Adidas for bringing Yvan Rodic here! Bring Tommy Ton naman next time! Okay loljk.

And yes, Status, might as well include Sonny Vandevelde in your people-to-bring-here-list! We all love his backstage photos...and his blog...and Manila is like walking distance from orstralia! haha A street exhibit like this would be a really, really nice. ;-)

Despite our haggard schedules and almost separate lives, we made it a point to do our annual get together before the year ends. My friends are the best, that's all I can say. FFT is one of the best things that has happened to me last year. Can I just say I'm still amazed at how my online buddies then are now my close friends in real life. Ooooh, the internet...where would we be without you lol. Anyway, the WWWWWH story of FFT is quite long and if you are curious on wth FFT is, I say let's go to moonleaf tea shop and talk about it while sipping ice cold yakult lychee or passion fruit black tea. Lol Promotion. I miss moonleaf kasi (missing it as much as I miss my fft buddies whom I haven't seen since last year...)

Okay so one saturday night we went out to laugh, laugh, exchange gifts, chika, laugh, and laugh some more.

Only got to take pictures of the Artwork Arteest exhibit at Trinoma three days ago. I thought i was going to miss it haha haggard but I made it there last thursday before the facehunter event. Dear reader,

The blogging gods know how back back backblogged I am hahaha. In one twitter conversation with @anagon and @inkarlcerating, @anagon said she posts so late that it's history already haha. If you have been a long-time reader of this blog, you probably know by now how I love Preview. I dunno...probably bordering on obsession because at some point in this little corner of the intarwebs, I blogged about every issue every month lol (oh how i miss those times hehe).

Anyway, I love how Preview is always one to push boundaries and experiment on new stuff. This time, they are at it again—say hello to augmented reality (AR). This has been around in magazine circles for quite a while but I think they are the first to do AR (locally). If you haven't tried it yet you better run, don't walk, run, go to the nearest newsstand, and get Preview December 2010. Go to the Augmented Reality page and see for yourself why they put the blurb "OMG this cover is alive!" on the cover.

Thanks to Mike aka Toxicdiscoboy and Tracy Ayson, I got to attend their press conference a coupla weeks ago. Here's what happened, in pictures. Yikes two weeks ago I know rrrrright hehe. If you've been following we on twitter, you probably know that I turned over my lappy to the service center a few weeks ago to get some minor quirks ironed out...and they took their sweet time mmmmmm. Oh well life of an OC...warranty's expiring soon might as well take advantage of it noh lol. Ok blah blah here are the pictures!

So we finally adopted another pet. He still has no name. At least for me...mommy calls him poochie—how strange noh—a doggy name for a cat haha. Or is it potchi, I don't know. I want to call him cat number two or just cat/catty/pusa/kitty but I guess I'll probably just use that name too. But I'll spell it this way—Pucci. LOL

Having this kitten feels like having a new toy!! hahaha Better than tamagotchi (speaking of...i miss having one hhehe i want). Yay I have company in my computerless dayzzzzzz (by the time this gets posted, my lappy is already at the repair shop hehe oh dear goodluck nalang).

I like dogs too but i think cats are better because they don't bark and growl and bite!! haha
